Re: Missing Campaign videos.

Just wait another day, and tomorrow night I will see what I can do. I originally had the one disc version, bought the two disc version thinking mine had broken (when it was just the 1.04 problem). So all you need are those movies?

Re: LNER Class V2 Green Arrow

Thanks very much for the insight! This has me curious about how things are generally built in RT3: Are the various shapes solid or hollow? I don't know why, but I just assumed they were hollow, hence my hesitation to do anything with the belpaire fireboxes.

Re: Re-skinning for beginners (that's me)

Actually, my friend might still have photoshop. Maybe he can transfer it to me somehow? It is my understanding it costs money, doesn't it? In that field, I can agree with stoker: I have a budget of precisely $0 , or at least for the moment. And you know, on rt3's simulator cousin, people actually do...

Re: LNER Class V2 Green Arrow

That sounds like the right place to start. What sucks is that school started again, so my time is pretty limited. I really want to help out, though, so a lot of my time will be put towards figuring this out. In all honesty. My reason for this is also a lot like yours: more so just being annoyed that...

Re: Re-skinning for beginners (that's me)

Well this is making no sense. I'm not doing anything at all with them except saving them and archiving them, where in the world could that go wrong?? Ufortunately, I did have to get off the laptop, so I'm going to delete those files. I.l check in in case you have anything to say, but I better feed m...

Re: Re-skinning for beginners (that's me)

Oh, jeez, sorry! I really should have just taken the five extra seconds to find a free image convertor and at least make them jpg. I'll do that now if I can and remove the colossal files.

Well, I better own up to this now...
There's already a V2 in game.
Yeah.
In my defense, it appears pretty late, and it doesn't have any of the changes you mentioned...

Re: Re-skinning for beginners (that's me)

Hey, I was re-reading through here for some tips on reskinning, and I see it escalated into what you called it a few posts back pretty quickly  What I want to know is, you were using photoshop for those three Northern skins, right? If so, have you ever used GIMP software? Would you know how to ...

Re: Is there really that few people?

More or less. I don't think it ever really was finished, but I don't think there's any real problems with it. We just have to test the updated versions of it with multiplayer.

Re: LNER Class V2 Green Arrow

P.S. I've decided to ease myself back into the editing world slowly. Starting off with some skins I've wanted to do forever, I'm going to get use to GMP again and fiddle around. Once I've made some sort of contribution you guys can use, I'll move forward with the ensuing flood of self-confidence ;-)...

Re: LNER Class V2 Green Arrow

Thanks again. However, I don't think you realize that I don't know anything about hex editing. I've never done any coding in my life outside a few words in HTML. Do you know what I would look up for a tutorial on hex editing in a similar situation? If I could just find a video tutorial, I should be ...

Re: LNER Class V2 Green Arrow

Thank you very much for the info, Gumboots! It does seem a lot more difficult than I thought it would be. Since I probably won't be doing very much in Europe, I don't think I will go through with this. However, I would like to fix up visually the whole line of custom engines based off the boiler of ...

LNER Class V2 Green Arrow

With the awesome Class A1 model in railroad tycoon 3, I think we have the potential for easy conversion to a class V2 2-6-2. In fact, they look almost exactly the same save the leading truck. Compare these two photos: http://images.wikia.com/locomotive/images/2/22/LNER_4472_Seymour_1989.jpg (class A...

Re: Australian steam locos

This has me interested now: were there any particularly successful passenger Garrats? The logic I had of two Atlantic classes being fast seems to not have quite live p to expectations. Which ones had large drivers? Were there any streamlined Garrats? Which was the fastest?
