Re: How to make profit from express(passenger) trains
One way is to connect your network with a competitor's network (assuming there are competitors :-) ). It will increase your passenger amounts because there are more places for passengers to go to. Example; your stations: A, B, C and your competitor's stations: D, E, F. If you make the connection C-D...

Conversions always degrade performance, be it analogue-digital or vice versa.

Re: Patch 1.06 and steam
Sadly it will not work. Steam-version has some kind of a proprietary RT3.exe that cannot be patched.

I disagree but that's a personal preference. Also, I like more desk space and lower energy consumption.

Re: This was Norrland
I used two or even three trains on the same route, Malmberget - Luleå. But that wasn't really effective. Incidently, either I didn't read properly or the time limit was not stated in briefing.

Re: HELP!!! My PC is crashing.
D-Sub carries analogue signal and DVI-D carries digital signal, which makes for superior image quality. Obviously, if the monitor only has an analogue input, using DVI in the display adapter side won't improve the quality.
edit: Hm, I'm not sure if there are any CRT's accepting a digital signal...

Re: HELP!!! My PC is crashing.
I was under the impression that refresh rate doesn't matter on lcd's because the image is created in a different way. I'm on my second flat monitor and have been running both with 60Hz, no prob. Maybe your eyes take issue with the LED technology? Mine are TFT's so I have no experience on that... **!...

Windows 7 runs quite fine on my computer with 2G. But I have a desktop so that may make the difference.

I'm one of those and I use a different version for Trainmaster and 1.06 which leads me to a situation where I have three different RT3 installations. But as long as it works

Yep. I haven't got very much experience with Vista but I tend to agree with the description that Windows 7 ( ) is Vista ( ) like it should have been made.

Re: Ghost industries; and rail yards
About shipping at a loss, I was just playing Juice Train and the way I got the bottling plants into high gear was to use custom trains from every station that had produce. Always reserved space for at least 2 cars of produce. Then I ran the trains back express-only to make sure they wouldn't move th...

Finnish Railways
Finnish Railways got their start when the Helsinki - Hameenlinna track was built in 1862. Finland was then a Grand Duchy of Russia. Next track was built in 1870 and it was completed on a later historical date, Sept. 11th.

Did you go from CRT to LCD? You might wanna try and see if ClearType helps you. It's a setting in Windows itself, hidden somewhere in the display options.

About making money, the idea I use is to connect BeBusher to BeKhomeini. There's oil in Busher and a refinery in Khomeini, so it pays pretty well.

A weird thing about this scenario, connecting Istanbul (outside the map) to Orumiyeh is mentioned and a deadline of 2015 given. However, this matter is never touched upon again

RRT is a bit troublesome under newer operating systems because of the Disable hardware T&L thing. That means all display load goes to the CPU too...
