How long was I in the garden?

This sounds like a made-up riddle, but it actually happened to me today. I took off my analogue watch before going to do the garden. When I came back and put it on, for a moment I thought it had stopped - but no, it was telling the right time. How long did I spend in the garden? :?: :?: :?: :?: :?:

Search "ignores" terms <3 characters

I'm trying to search for "Company ID" in the forums - so I don't have to ask stupid questions! But it "ignores" ID because it has less than 3 characters, even with "..." around it. When it says "search for term as entered" or whatever, shouldn't that over-ride...

Re: Testing Trainmaster

What I was thinking about the Tampa territory - as far as I can remember and this was more than 24 hours ago - was that you could put two stations there and run one load between the two of them ad infinitum. In fact, you wouldn't even need two stations - I just accidentally cheated because I ran a t...

Re: Testing Trainmaster

I can't find the map I was looking at where it didn't have a demand, but I think it might have been a Department Store. I'll keep an eye out and if I see anything like that again, I'll check it. Thanks for the Warrington Wire link. Don't know why I couldn't find it. I'm losing the plot today, I fear...

Re: Testing Trainmaster

If you look at my stand-alone Warrington Wire (I made some fixes on the campaign version) you will see that I have setup "accurate" haulage count measures. See if you can cheat there. :D I couldn't find a stand-alone version. However, I see on the campaign map that Bradford is not mention...

Re: Testing Trainmaster

Yes, I think maybe that was something like nedfumpkin's thinking about the farms. You wouldn't in reality get individual farms selling their produce to the public (except farm shops of course!). Depends, I suppose, on the product. Some are B2B, some are sold as you describe; wholesale-retail-custome...

Re: Testing Trainmaster

That's probably why it looks so weird and can't decide if it's 1.06 or TM on the screen shot I posted. I'll put this one in and no doubt that will make it OK. ETA: yes, that's fixed it. Now to see how it plays. Later - yes it gives the same consistent result, no spikes. BTW, I made a shortcut to the...

Re: Testing Trainmaster

Well, I read through that thread and right at the end found your excellent Readme! !facepalm! So I think I've done the right thing but my opening screen now looks like this: Islands screen.jpg It looks a bit confused (which is nothing to what I am!) but it opens up all right as far as I can see. I'l...

Re: Testing Trainmaster

Starting "Juice Train" now. I've put the corrected files in and will se how it all works out. :) ETA: I don't understand "loops"? However, I do understand the bit about the Auto plants in the Motors scenario. I can see why Ed tried to avoid the problem, but another way to look at...

Re: A few small changes.

Sorry, I've only just seen this. Probably my settings are wrong. I'll enquire from SiteGround if their package is OK for this. They are recommended by WordPress and I've had my sites with them for years now, with no problems. They're based in Bulgaria but they also have data centres in US, Australia...

Re: Birth of a Nation (CA01)

Looking at TM for the first time in twelve years, how time flies! So I'm a bit late to the party on this scenario. I wonder if I've got the final, final version as it seems to be a bit different from what people are discussing here. Maybe these things have been put right and I've not picked up on it...

Testing Trainmaster

Finally, after 12 years, I've got round to looking again at Trainmaster! I'm just starting to play the campaign scenarios and so far, not finding the difficulty RoR identified: There is another problem with Trainmaster mechanically. This one I didn't try to patch: Small demands of say 0.03 or 0.05 p...

I see. Maybe that's why they behave so inexplicably sometimes, there's hidden demand making them "go" somewhere.

Re: New scenario - what do you think?

Thanks, @Gumboots. By the way, I've found the hospital in Trainmaster now, but I'm a bit disappointed - it's the perfectly efficient hospital with no patients! ^**lylgh ^**lylgh ^**lylgh I had envisaged passengers (and mail, for that matter) being generated. (I'm fascinated by the weird behaviour of...

Re: TroopsA_Profile.imb not found

*!*!*! Doh! I thought they were expansions of something that should be there already. Thank you!
Later: Done it. I had all sorts of stuff in the wrong folders and duplicate folders and what not. But as far as I can see it's all working now as it should. :-D

TroopsA_Profile.imb not found

Just installed Trainmaster and it looks OK but I'm getting this error message: TroopsA_Profile.imb not found I can't find the troops file to download - I've got the express cars OK but the only "troops" things I can see are expansions, I can't find the original one. This is on the Trainmas...

Re: New scenario - what do you think?

Finally, the really final version of "France Rebuilds". Looking forward to finding out more about Trainmaster now. I do enjoy the industry side - in fact I'm partly to blame for the ship-at-a-loss feature in 1.06 as I wanted to feed industries. Actually based on real life. I once worked at...
