Re: A few small changes.
Yea, that gif folder can go too. It was for some script that is no longer installed ( I think ). I didn't, and still don't know anything about SSI. Hence the php include stuff. I never knew what the old error pages looked like. Never bother looking and never got one. They were automatically created ...

Re: A few small changes.
The img_post folder is one I used to upload images used in forum posts, either here or maybe at other forums. It looks like a lot, if not all of them are a bit old and can be deleted. The newest image in that folder is over 9 years old. The user_avatars folder, I think, was used for forum members to...

Re: A few small changes.
The hb_ft_n-file and hb_sub stuff could still be used. That's up to you. Here's the forum link to the discussion about using this feature. http://hawkdawg.com/forums/viewtopic.php?f=1&t=2824 I set that up so folks could use that instead of adding their finished work to the forum and taking a cha...

That looks really good too. Much better than what I was doing, and a whole lot easier and quicker.

Wasn't this always there, or you saying 'by any member', does that mean it was only available to admins and mods?

Re: Transport Fever 2
I played Transport Fever a lot, but I watched a few videos of TpF2 and it didn't impress me a bit. Seemed to me to be a dumbed down version of TpF so I won't be buying it.
I do have Railway Empire but it is a bit limited in what you can do.

OK! Thanks!
I'll need one that is idiot proof, for sure.

Re: Making Windows 10 behave (apparently it is possible)
Linux Mint? Is that now considered the most Windows like, or is it considered the best?
I've heard about Mint quite a bit but haven't paid too close attention about it since I'm not quite ready yet.

Re: Making Windows 10 behave (apparently it is possible)
If I ever get into a position that I have to use Win 10, I'll certainly keep this topic in mind. You've given a lot of good information. !*th_up*! That said, if something were to happen to my install of Win 7, and the hardware was still OK, I would most likely switch to a distro of Linux. The only r...

Re: New install and patch 1.04 now cannot save
Yes I did, and I hung in there for quite a while too.
If I remember right, the reason I had to move to Win 7 was due to new hardware.
At my age though, and health issues, I may not have to worry about Win 10, if my current hardware holds out.

Re: RT3 running on Windows 10
Ah! OK! The 2-disc set I have is V-1.0. That's what I was going by.
Interesting your disc doesn't count C to C as V-1.04.

Re: New install and patch 1.04 now cannot save
Sounds like fun. My old motherboard karked it the other day, so I'm having to start from scratch on W10 myself. My initial impression is that W10 is a massive PITA. I'm still running Win 7 and hope I never have to go to Win 10. I just hope my hardware holds out until I can't use a computer an...

Re: RT3 running on Windows 10
Just being a little nit-picky here:
I'm pretty sure the original game disk is V-1.00 and C to C is V-1.04
Other than that, congratulations!!!!

Re: A few small changes.
Get too many pots on the stove and something isn't going to come out right.
Tale your time. Do one thing and do it right. Then move on to something else.

Website Down
What happened this morning? I stopped by and no website or forum? That was about 10:00 AM EST.
I checked downforeveryoneorjustme.com and it confirmed.
Same thing with the test forum.
Glad to see it was just temporary.

Beta testers are released from the NDA as of today at 5:00 PM UTC [GMT] and there's a few planned live streams of TpF2 on You Tube and Twitch later today, for those that are interested in seeing the game being played.

The test site still isn't remembering my login, but this site does. Maybe it's your avatar over there. It's eating the cookies. ^**lylgh I did check and I do have the cookies from that site. cookie.png It's not a big deal because my browser remembers me so it's simple enough to log in every time, an...
