Re: Ontario Northland

Here is the new version of this map. Concepts are similar, but changed. It's a 50 year map with some hefty objectives. 100 million in company assets, 10,000 gwh of electicity, and some haulage goals. Nw you have Trainmaster goals to accomplish, however, you will be given the choice of three lesser g...

Re: Ontario Northland

I figured out what was causing the prices to spike. I had events set up so that when a certain amount of cargo was hauled from a region the production and price would increase slightly. I must have forgotten that price adjustments aren't restricted to the territory, so as each event was triggered, c...

Re: Ontario Northland

I think the price increase is an error where it should have been a production increase. I can't see adjusting a rpice like that. The re-write is just going to change the approach to things, the overall idea of the mapsis going to be the same. One thing I learned is that Alberta is a coal producer, s...

Re: Ontario Northland

I am taking all this into consideration on the changes I am making.

I started in Dryden and Ignace, then connected to Thunderbay. This kept all the AI over Sudbury way and I did very well. Also playing as developer.

Re: Ontario Northland

hanks for the informaton about how things worked. I've decided to redo the map and keep the same theme, but with a different approach. I'm also changing the warehouses, because I do had difficulty with the ectricity.

I should be finished making the changes in a couple of days.

Re: Convert RT3 maps to TM

Do you mean the map maker as in making maps from tga files? The d/l for that is in the RT3 section. Or do you mean the map/scenario editor? The is in the same place as in Rt3 under Extras on the main menu in TM and RT3. If you are look at making a map, might I suggest that you post your idea, the na...

Re: Cargo & Industry fixes for 1.06

Gumboots, you are right that the hex program is crap, and only good for the small files, hence my recomendation to updating the developer's kit with better tools. I am looking at the work you are doing on locos and I am quite impressed. Stoker, you are entitled to your opinion, however, I would poin...

Re: Cargo & Industry fixes for 1.06

Addendum

A lot of the skins i created were done when I couldn't see them clearly in the game. so if you want to improve them, by all means go ahead, just send me copies for TM.

Re: Cargo & Industry fixes for 1.06

Something to think about...the Trainmaster Rollingstock kit has all the tools necessary for developing rolling stock and buildings. It could probably use an update if better tools have been developed. I use The program that comes with it, I think it is XVI32. For trains and buildings it works great....

Re: Cargo & Industry fixes for 1.06

If you want to save time, you are free to use the buildings that were created for Trainmaster, or any of the stuff that was created for TM since everything that is being described was pretty much done in TM.

Re: Ontario Northland

Yes, if I am not mistaken, the ticket numbers actually have goal information along with a random number. If the number comes up then you win. I think it will win one in 10 times or something like that. To be honest, until a few days ago, I completely forgot that I made this scenario. It was left wai...

Re: Ontario Northland

I can't remember off hand, but I think the ledger does change to let you know how much you have left to haul, but there is something that triggers it, either time, or accomplsihment.

Re: Cargo & Industry fixes for 1.06

Just throwing this out there....

If you change the cargo then you change the game. Cargo is listed alphabetically in the game. So if you rename a cargo and it takes a different place in the list, then all previous maps are toast. Period.

That's not fair Ned. You can't compare Canada with Georgia. ^**lylgh Hope you guys enjoy the snow. It really is wonderful. Appreciate the beauty. :-) I do appreciate the beauty. I love snow. I was raised in the Chicago area. Unfortunately, down here is mostly ice sleuthing itself as snow. Ha...
