Re: Idea for a Scenario Campaign

@ Blackhawk: I went to my TM "saved games" folder, then copied and pasted an older "Juice Train" gamesave file to the "maps" folder and then re-named the file extension (from *.gms to *.gmp ). Now, I am able to start TM, select "new scenario" and the "map...

(...) and I am thinking that I would rather have the Rail Yard Structures be the choice for toggling on or off, and leave the terrain levellers always on. For a scenario developer it´s always better to have a choice rather than no choice. And those players who love to deal with the RailYardStructur...

This is exactly what happened to me while trying to play your "TheHub1-Pirates" map.
Therefore, I don´t have pity on you...

Re: TM - Juice Train

I bulldozed the Retail because it was sucking up the glass supplied by the harbours. Then I built a storage shed to "collect" the glass there.

With two loads of glass per year, the upgraded Bottling Plant at Tampa supplies > 10 loads of food and makes > 1 million profit.

Re: TM - Juice Train

My solution for a Manhattan station, covering both harbours: NYC.JPG BUT, you have to bulldoze the Grocery Store, the Department Store and the Retail, and still another house. To make your way out of Manhattan, you have to build a bridge with a sharp left turn next. AND the station must be Japanese ...

Re: TM - Juice Train

I had no problem @ Miami. Miami.JPG My major quest is to build a station in New York which covers both of the harbours. I haven´t had the time to continue playing, but I will proceed the next evenings. Blackhawk, you disabled the possibility to build food-producing industries for the player, so he i...

Re: Guide to converting maps from RRT3 into TM.

Regarding the missing RailYardStructures and Terrain Levellers, you wrote the following @ the "Hub" thread: However, I would guess that since TheHub1 was original a RT3 map, created before I installed the add on structures, they don't appear in this version for that reason. However, they w...

Re: Scenario TheHub2 Military

Maybe I´m going tardy to thank you for adding this map... I downloaded it the day it was released, but I won´t give it a try until I have got an idea to step into TheHub1, which seems to be a harder nut to crack for myself. So, if I keep silent about this topic at the moment, this doesn´t mean that ...

Wow! Ned, I do hope you will use the voice. It's better even than the original voice, I think, because it's obviously genuine where the original was clearly an actor. But the possibilities are endless - El Moichi, Molse for the European games, your good self for the Canadian ones, my compatriot Bel...

Re: Trainmaster....what comes next.

OilCan´s „Handbook to RRT3“ is brilliant, regarding both content and presentation. It would be worth to get translated into German, but I don´t want to do the whole work alone and I better wait until some guys jump into the project. It´s the same thing as with Trainmaster at the moment. It seems to ...

Re: New Scenario TheHub1 - Pirates

After taking the first worse steps on this map, I agree to your opinion. This seems to be a more difficult quest. But I asked my question for technical reasons (and not due to gameplay reasons for this map). Some far days ahead you perhaps might enjoy a Trainmaster map that was NOT created...

Re: Trainmaster....what comes next.

I spent this afternoon by translating „Persian Electric“. In my opinion, this is an excellent map to become acquainted with Trainmaster, as an introduction. So, when all work is done to present a “german version”, there will be a first map to play for those german fellows who can´t understand Englis...

Although the option "Disable Building Hotel/RailYardStructures" is NOT disabled in the "special conditions" folder, the Rail Yard Structures are not offered to be built on this map.

Please, tell me why... :?:

So, this is my „certificate of employment“ for Monkey Business. I have been playing on expert level, but I disabled the train crashes at the start of the game. Re: Trainmaster....what comes next.

The translation of the RT3.lng is (mostly) done, and I´ll go to have some test the next weekend, to check for small errors. I also listed up all the names and titles of (hopefully) all buildings and cargo types. I have to revise the translations again, because the german words are much longer. For e...

Re: Trainmaster....what comes next.

I went on translating the RT3.lng file into German. The problem is that not all translated sentences and terms are displayed correctly. For example, regard the descriptions of the AI-players (string-IDs 2495 to 2532). I translated them, but they still show up in the original language when I opened t...
