Re: Scandinavia 1.0 map now available for TM

I tend to overborrow but I seem to have avoided that trap this time. BTW, I think I recognise the industries in Hämeenlinna...Wetterhoff & Atria? :)

Re: Scandinavia 1.0 map now available for TM

Just started :-) . It's a bit tricky in the beginning but I'm started to build up a head of steam as it were. So far so good.

I seem to be the one who throws a "Why not make...." into the air and then somebody grabs it and makes it a reality. I have nothing against that! :salute:

Re: Grand Duchy of Finland - any takers?

One task might be transporting paper from paper mills to ports at the coast, Finland is after all a well known paper producing country.

Re: Grand Duchy of Finland - any takers?

The first railway was Helsingfors (Helsinki) - Tavastehus (Hameenlinna) and it was completed 1860. Riihimäki - St. Petersburg was completed 11.09.1871. I saw the timetable of the first lines on that track. It took 4+ hours to reach Tavastehus(Hameenlinna) back in those days  . Nowadays it's l...

Re: New American Locomotives.

From the Railway Museum website (translation mine): "The locomotives were built by Baldwin and Alco locomotive factories and assembled in the Helsinki machine shop of the State Railroads. They were of the same type as the 2000 locos delivered to the USSR during the war." edit1: Apparently ...

Loudspeakers

Since this subforum is for anything within reason, I'll stretch the boundaries a bit and ask this: Does anybody know where I could get some information about a pair of Jamo Speakers from the 1980's? They have a label that says Jamo 885. Neither jamo.com nor googling has yielded results. I'm looking ...

Grand Duchy of Finland - any takers?

I'm wondering if anybody would be interested in doing the actual work of making such a map if I served as a source of information on the history part? I'm not really a scenario maker but I, as a Finn, would be able to check the details and to give a crash course, as it were, on Finnish history. The ...

Re: new map for v1.06 Rhowenian Railways (beta)

Welp, got bronze. First time the game started lagging. Prolly it was the fact that I had 100+ trains rolling :-D . It's kinda hard to build book value after a certain point. I got somewhat good results by building industries all over.

I'm not making loops but I do try to go up a hill diagonally, instead of straight up.
