Re: Warrington Wire - Spoiler, only read after playing !!!!!
Ok. I probably wont get much chance to work on this further in the next few days. Also, you are a local and this should be some help for geographic accuracy corrections. So, if you are inclined, go right ahead and correct this. If you want to tackle the reserve cells as well, go ahead. In what time ...

Re: Warrington Wire - Spoiler, only read after playing !!!!!
Ok. I put some time into this today. Didn't get everything done, but I will put it up anyway. You can at least try the ledger and see if that's passable. Actually all the event "coding" should be working too. But it needs a bit of testing to be sure. June 17, 2022 Known not tackled: - Test...

Re: Warrington Wire - Spoiler, only read after playing !!!!!
@Gumboots, I lost the last batch of changes to SCBC. I will try to get them re-done later today and post that. Maybe I should put up variable usage notes as well. Let's see what I can do. Also, I didn't make any effort on justification of the text. Thanks for the notes about that and other. Gives me...

Re: Warrington Wire - Spoiler, only read after playing !!!!!
You started this thread. Really it has been more of a technical discussion on how/whether the coding is working correctly. I think further progress would be fine here, but it's your call. The notes I made so far are very rough: Warrington, June 16, 2022: Iron notice from start... Is it good? ledger:...

Re: Warrington Wire - Spoiler, only read after playing !!!!!
Hmm, I'm using LibreOffice for spreadsheets. I have used a spreadsheet to track variable use, but I found it not that good for keeping a list, Formatting a spreadsheet to present information clearly and concisely is a bit of a time sink for me. If you saw the spreadsheets I made without thought abou...

Re: Warrington Wire - Spoiler, only read after playing !!!!!
Um, the math to get the percentage in one event is working fine for me. I checked it with a new event that will expose the current YTD company express loads hauled in CV4. Set Company Variable 4 to [YTD Company Mail Hauled] Company Variable 4 + [YTD Company Passengers Hauled] Company Variable 4 + [Y...

Re: Warrington Wire - Spoiler, only read after playing !!!!!
Ok. I looked and I think there's enough small stuff to warrant an update. Due to inexperience I missed some things that are obvious now. I agree that ledger presentation is a bit of an art. I really hoped someone would give me some feedback on the SCBC ledger. I made quite some effort on that, but I...

Re: Warrington Wire - Spoiler, only read after playing !!!!!
I can't see any way that the player can already have taken it over. The game is quite complex. With some luck (if it doesn't have a good feed for it's industries, etc.., morally questionable tactic would be to set a train to "steal" those cargoes) and a hard push I believe it is possible....

Re: How long was I in the garden?
Ah. 11:05 till 12:55 is 1 hour and 50 minutes. So you mistook one watch hand for the other. Not that hard to do.
But you shouldn't give me credit. I had supposed that you saw the time at 5 past one and then next time it was 10 past two.

Re: Testing Trainmaster
Sorry that this one reminds you of a bad time. Condolences for then and now. (**!!sry To address your previous comment, the only thing that the real count for Iron/Steel should practically prevent is taking Iron or Steel from Warrington station. If we look at the design of Trainmaster in general, sm...

Re: Testing Trainmaster
I don't think I have seen a TM scenario entirely without random seeding yet. Agri communities in Ned's maps are hand-placed, along with many of the industrial buildings. But seeding of bulk resources, like mining, oil wells, logging, etc. and most municipal buildings (there are many of these) is sti...

Re: Testing Trainmaster
It seems Ned wasn't keen on HAAL for TM either. But the better math and other possibilities seem to have convinced him to use it in the end. I agree that HAAL has more downsides than upsides. RT3 isn't going to play like RRTII. I got the sense that some felt that this ability had been "omitted&...

Re: Testing Trainmaster
You can use a bigger territory as any loads "WITHIN" a territory will be added to both the TO and FROM counts, so they cancel each other out. We could build 10 stations in the target territory and it doesn't matter. But for sure, the larger the territory, the larger the surrounding buffer ...

Re: Testing Trainmaster
Um, which TM retail building did you see without demands? If we look in the documentation all the buildings should have demands. Now, in some cases it will not be visible in the info panel to the player. So check in the document and then go to the view for that cargo type specifically. It's quite po...

Re: Testing Trainmaster
Hmm, I checked again and now I see rail-yard structures available. I think my memory got a little muddled with his "un-finished" North vs. South scenario. And Gambling at the Tavern is only possible till 1910. Loops: means that the player can build/multiply cargoes during the game. ...

Re: Italy 1946
The seeding you had may not be representative. The randomization is quite good: I just had a seed with no Iron at all. I had another with both ports seeding into Venice. In my experience I remember seeing the "Rome" port there more often than the "Venice" one, and very rarely bot...

I never saw ads for the game. I didn't even know a second platform version existed. Interesting.
PS. I see the ICE express train in the 4th image. Must have been still hoping for permission to use it. . . .

Hex - how do negative floats work?
Trainmaster has been working for years with some errors in the bca files. Mainly the consumption amount was entered with a one or two place offset. The Missile Factory has been working fine with a value that translates into decimal as -107k loads of Isotopes per year!. Turns out that with negative v...
