Garratts... Yum! Wonder how they might handle the Tibet railways in Great China 4 scenario... :D

Re: RT3 Textures are blurry.
I finally did some tests with RRT3 TrainMaster Edition and Windows 7-64 with and without this new patch DLL. As said before, my system runs RRT TM flawlessly without any patches. Something changed, though, after placing that DLL file into the game directory. Previously the game told me that I have 4...

Re: Dancer in the Dark: Danish F-Unit in Great Northern paintings
First thought: does it really matter? American railroads might have purchased European designs (these days they do, at least when it comes to electrics), and that "Danish" scenario could have happened. To me it's about imagination as much as realism. I like to try very different (like Brit...

Re: RT3 Textures are blurry.
Seems to be. More specifically, it seems to be something to do with how the video card reports RAM to the game. If it's over a certain amount, some cards seem to report it in a format the game reads as not acceptable, resulting in the game thinking there is no RAM at all. ...Which again seems to po...

Re: RT3 Textures are blurry.
Not sure if that's what it's intended for, but it certainly seems to work on that combo. ::!**! IIRC the problem starts at 2 gig of RAM with some video cards. Something about signed vs unsigned integers tricking the game into thinking there is no RAM at all. Which makes me always wonder why I had t...

Re: RT3 Textures are blurry.
Must test even though my Radeon 7870 doesn't suffer from this problem.
How much VRAM does your 6950 have? Have you used the latest drivers? For some reason, RRT3 TM detects the 2GB VRAM correctly, like it did 1GB with my previous Radeons 5770 and 5850.

Re: Great China 4 challenges
Hang on, there... The Forum is running on slow, but I'm sure your scenario will hit the headlines. I have looked into it a few times just to get the feeling and it is a little.... daunting! (TM is a different learning curve from RT3, and China4 is another ball game again.) The least I can say at th...

Great China 4 challenges
Has anybody here tried or managed to create the world's highest running railway from Beijing to Lhasa, Tibet, yet? You can actually build it very accurately, but also in many alternative ways. Or what about India and Bangladesh? There's plenty of agricultural stuff available in both, that's for sure...

Re: Now what after the Great China 4 for TM scenario..?
I think I do... But I still love big, deep, long simulations - not short-time action in games. :)Gumboots wrote:You do realise that it's possible to pick flowers without requiring a computer game to do so?

Re: Now what after the Great China 4 for TM scenarion..?
There are clearly two kinds of RRT3 maps. Some are game-like challenges with clear business and time etc. goals. Some (quite few) are more like world simulations with very different goals and strategies. I wouldn't, for example, build any maps for "normal" RRT3 gaming. I'm interested in si...

Re: Triple and Quad Track...
There are sections in Great China 4 for TM which would benefit from at least 3 tracks due to very heavy traffic and fast bullet trains available... Tried the idea once, with some success.

Re: Now what after the Great China 4 for TM scenarion..?
Oh, it's all in detail! :) I wish even Great China 4 for TM was a lot larger, more detailed... It might make sense to divide the Trans-Siberian wonder to two pieces, though...
