RRT-II on Win 7 map scrolling speed Unread post

Hi,
Have been absent so having to relearn everything; first off, "cannot control scrolling of map in RRT-II, is this a game setting or Win 7 quirk?".
Every time I move curser there goes the game map!
Any help appreciated, and yes I did a search "nothing" came up for me?
Thank You,

Good to see you back and glad you got logged in. (0!!0)

Since your last visit here, most of the RT2 crowd has moved over to The Terminal. You might find more and quicker help there.
Not trying to run you off. Just trying to be helpful. :salute:

Hello,
I guess I didn't search quite close enough, I found the answer in an old post to a question from me.
Anyway I patched RRT II, Plat with the RT2_Platinum_156 and then tried scrolling again.....!
NO LUCK!! Map still scrolls like a bullet, any ideas?
Thank You.

P.S. Thanks Hawk, I like the company!!

Hi.... I do not know about RRT-II on Win 7, but when I had the same problem in RT3, I found that I could slow the cursor movement down on my mouse a click at a time depending on how fast I wanted it. ----- It might work for you.

Thank You,
I'll try,and see what happens?

Right now I've dug RRT the original DOS versions out of the internet, having a look before I move on to RRT2 and 3.
Need to get the hang of the basics again !!jabber!!

For whatever it's worth, you can get RT2 & 3 at GOG and they're both already configured to run on newer operating systems. Although with Win 10 it's debatable since Windows updates can mess things up with any program on that operating system.

https://www.gog.com/game/railroad_tycoon_2

You can get RT2 & 3 right now for $10.89 USD, for both.

Thanks Hawk,

I'll go "GOG", looks like a better plan!
Much prefer to relearn on RRT2 than on RRT DOS
