From my read of this article, It's strongly evident that Thailand's rich elite are making one last power grab before they are completely, literally broke and totally lose everything their families have held for generations. It's their last ditch fight for survival, they are behind this.
They'd rather die committing treason than die poor.
The people of Thailand have two choices.
Kill these rich elitists, including their monarchy, or be slaves.
There's no other option for them on the table.
