Corn Chowder with optional Sour Cream
Rich and creamy, Corn Chowder that only takes 30 - 40 minutes start to finish!!

INGREDIENTS:

1 can whole kernel corn (16oz)
2 corn can full of filled with water (32oz)
1 small chopped onion (or more if you like)
1/4 cup chopped peppers (red, sweet)
2 or 3 tablespoons chicken base (Tone's from Sam's Club)
2 or 3 Dashs of black pepper to taste
2 cups milk
Sour Cream option:
:arrow: 1/2 cup Sour Cream, 1 tablespoon of butter
or
2 tablespoons butter
Meat option:
:arrow:1/2 cup chopped sliced dried beef, or several cooked bacon strips or fully cooked ham.
Potato option:
:arrow: 15-20 Frozen French Fries cut to 1" pieces or small potato cut in small cubes (optional)

PREPARATION:

In a 3 - 4 qt saucepan add together the frozen fries or potato, corn, water, onion, pepper, ham / bacon / beef, stir often.
Bring to a boil add the chicken base, add butter and sour cream stir well to blend in sour cream, add milk, use very low heat until chowder is warmed back up from cold milk / sour cream, Cover until served.

I love corn chowder. I'll be trying this one. I have to make a store run today. Looks like I'll be buying up a few ingredients for some of the recipes here.

Oh! OK! So chicken stock or broth can be used instead.
I don't have a Sam's Club card.
