Also how does one get the avatar to show up?

click on the profile thing,
then at the bottom there is the aviator thing,
is it does not work the 1st time, try again, and it worked the 2nd time for me :)

To add a little to Dan's post, there are 3 Galleries. Flags, Humor, and Railroad Logos. Just click on the 'Show Gallery' button.

Ok guess I should have been more clear. When I select my avatar it shows up at the bottom in my avatar control panal. I then click submit and it exits out of my profile. When I go back to my profile the avatar is not saved I have to repeat the process all over again with the same results. Do I need to submit a URL to the avatar which I don't have?

If you're selecting an avatar from the gallery you don't have to submit a url. If you're trying to upload an avatar of your own you'll have to host it somewhere else and link to it.
For security reasons I have disallowed uploading avatars. I'd kinda like this forum to hang a round a bit longer. :wink:
If you need someplace to host your avatar I'd be happy to place it on my site. Just email it to me.

Did you put a bullett in the box under the avatar then click on 'Select avatar'? Then on the main Profile page click 'Submit'.
Which avatar is it?

I open up my profile then click on show gallery. I then select railroads and click on my avatar. It shows up in avatar control panel then I click submit. When I go back in to profile it is no longer there and I have no avatar selected.

I was talking about a board game Rail Baron. :mrgreen: I have played many rail games in my time that includes board games.
