Ever have one of those days.... Unread post

So I get an appointment to get the oil changed on my old war wagon for today. Mom & Dad bring their car over last night (in the snow & sleet) and swap so I have a car to get to work in tomorrow. We get a few inches of snow last night, but nothing major. I go out to fire up Dad's car this morning to make my wonderful 40 minute drive to my rotten job. Turn the key forward and....clickclickclickclick. Sounds like a crapped-out starter to me. So I call Dad (who just got out of bed...he's retired, ya' know) & he says "Aw, crap....". I call in to work to let them know I won't be coming in today. Great start to the day...

Now I get a whole day to play RRT3!!! ::!**!

Well...It was just a dead battery. Dad had to come over & jump it, then he went & got a new battery. Unfortunately, I decided to go to work :-( .

It was, but I think I made the right one ... Trains are running again, worse luck, but who knows what the day will bring? Pray for rain! :-)

Ruth, I won't pray for rain until I know you own a boat.

Grandma Ruth, hope you are enjoying the weather. Down here it is so mild that the daffodils are starting to flower. I might just go and sit in the sun for a while 8-) .

Did you see Hebden Bridge on the news last night? That's where I am now - at work, unfortunately.

Grandma, nice area you are in. In 1961 I visited Halifax and traveled a bit in the area.

It is. In spite of all our complaints, it's beautiful, whichever side of the Pennines you're on! I've heard even Sussex is quite nice! :-)
