High Speed Freight Train service

Unread post by Lone Cat »

In Thailand. A Decree of 2 Trillion Bahts loan for High Speed Train service is passed today! Meowwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwww!

Apart from what the opposiotion said that the highspeed freight 'is intended to work with veggies, fruits, and other agroproducts only' (as Geodis is currently using TGV to carry 'light' freights (or sometimes it should be called parcels)).
1. Does 'High speed fright train service' works with serious frieghts like Oils and Goods shipped by the Intermodal Containers? for highspeed trains. loading crates after crates from an Intermodal to TGV Geodis 'boxcars' one by one isn't 'fast enough' for me.
2. Does the same service exists with piggybagging?
3. If 1 and/or 2 exists. What is the propulsion mode these trains are using?
A. Locomotive-based
B. Multiple Motor Units.... in a same set of train, each car has its own 'engines' mounted to the wheels.
4. According to the 2 Trillion projects intended to both construct Highspeed railroad sevice, and improve the existing metric railroad infrastructures (doubletracking, some planned branchlines built, new Cab Unit Diesel locomotives, and maybe... electrifications). And the highspeed railroad is intended to serve BOTH passenger and freight service. Which propelling modes DO YOU THINK is best fits Thailand?
A. Locomotive-based
B. Multiple Motor Units...
