Canadian Skins + Rolling Stock Unread post

Hey guys,
I love the site, great quality add-ons for these Games. I am using RT3 in particular and I have downloaded a good portion of your add-ons for RT3.
But, aside from enjoying these new products thoroughly, I'm neither American or European, and none of these add-ons really relate to me. What I'm getting at is I think it would be ultra cool to have some Canadian Pacific add-ons. Here are some Ideas for new locomotives, skins and rolling stock as well as some links to some pictures of them:

LOCOMOTIVES:
CP 2816 Royal Hudson Empress (see: http://www.trainweb.org/galt-stn/cprost ... cp2816.htm )
CP 1404 Shunting Locomotive (See: http://www.trainweb.org/galt-stn/cprost ... 1404-2.htm )
CP 787 (See: http://www.trainweb.org/galt-stn/cprost ... cp0787.htm )
CP 8921 (See: http://www.trainweb.org/galt-stn/cprost ... cp8921.htm )
Any of the steam Locomotives on this Page: http://members.shaw.ca/cprsteam/types.htm

SKINS:
CP 3251 for the SD40-2 (See: http://www.trainweb.org/galt-stn/cprost ... cp3251.htm )
CP 3069 for the GP35/GP40 (See: http://www.trainweb.org/galt-stn/cprost ... cp3069.htm )
CP 3122 For the GP35/GP40 (See: http://www.trainweb.org/galt-stn/cprost ... cp3122.htm )
CP 672 For the GP35/GP40 (See: http://www.trainweb.org/galt-stn/cprost ... 0cp672.htm )
CP 5594 For the GP35/GP40 (See: http://www.trainweb.org/galt-stn/cprost ... cp5594.htm )
CP 9015 For the FP45 (See: http://www.trainweb.org/galt-stn/cprost ... cp9015.htm )
CP 9806 For the SD90MAC (See: http://www.trainweb.org/galt-stn/cprost ... cp9806.htm )
CP 3084 For the GP35/GP40 (See: http://www.trainweb.org/galt-stn/cprost ... cp3084.htm )
CP 1800 For the F3 (See: http://www.trainweb.org/galt-stn/cprost ... p1800e.htm )
CP 8526 For the GP7 (See: http://www.trainweb.org/galt-stn/cprost ... 8526-1.htm )
CP 8592 For the GP7 (See: http://www.trainweb.org/galt-stn/cprost ... cp8592.htm )

ROLLING STOCK:
Just General Canadian Pacific Freight/ Passenger Cars from every era

No, of course I honestly don't expect you guys to make all of these because that would take forever, but Like I said, It would be super cool if you could re-create some of these trains as add-ons. I believe this would Make my RT3 Experience and that of other Canadians much better.

Thanks for consideration,

Actually, I am working on some CNR skins, and when I am done those, my plan was to make a set of CPR skins.

WP&P has created a boat tail Budd car, in addition to heavy coaches that will go well as a CPR car. So if you are patient, a set will be forthcoming.

I believe somebody put in a "request" for engine #3122 (I did not realize that was on the suggestions until now) :-) this was the first test but I think that it looks ok.
still working on a few others.

Hey there,
I Love the skin, is it available anywhere for one to download, or is it still a work in progress?
By the way, I've had difficulty in the past with creating skins, How exactly do you make skins? Last time I tried to make a CPR skin, the effect was a gray skin covered with multicolored spots... not what I intended at all, or even remotely like a train. Anyhow, Just wondering.

Re: Canadian Skins + Rolling Stock Unread post

wow I forgot about that engine for a while  , but yeah it is a work in progress the zebra stripes on the back are not lined up the way I would like. I did intend on doing the F3, GP7 and SD90 in CP at some point and upload them to hawks site I just never finished the gp35 I kept getting side tracked by other skinning ideas cough cough rock island cough, so I'm not real sure if any of the skins I have made will make it anytime soon but I will try to at least finish up the CP geep.
How I make the skins is I use the skinning tool provided by the game even though it has limitations certain engines wont work I think an electric not real sure its not one that I care to skin anyway and the wheels/trucks dont show up colored when you first purchase a locomotive in game. I know that WP&P and Ned along with countless others have explained how to pack and unpack the skins manually I just can never figure it out

could you show a picture of it I think I might have experienced something like what you are talking about before and it might have something to do with the graphics of your computer but I'm not sure.

Re: Canadian Skins + Rolling Stock Unread post

Hey There,
So it figures (Murphy's Law) that I would figure it out shortly after asking. What Happened was that Being that I use the GIMP, when I when to save the images for the skins I never touched the option "RLE Compression". It turns out this was always on until I de-selected it. Anyhoo, I figured it out and can now make skins.
I will Begin work on Some of the Canadian Skins I suggested And See how they turn out!
