In games with limited track pieces and AI companies: When you MERGE with an AI company you SHOULD get that company's unused BUILDABLE TRACK PIECES added to your company's BUILDABLE TRACK PIECES. Those track pieces are part of the value of the AI company.

Definitely. I´ve been thinking this too, but always was let down due to this was no the case. Are you having difficulties with a specific scenario though? I remember when i played one of the harder ones, the Southern Pacific, i just abused the Ai tracks by connecting to them where i could save a litttle bit of track.
