Re: Brick Background Unread post

I think Rick, that you're using the HkSubTan :?:
If I were to change the color of the brick, that would affect the text that overlays the brick.
Right now I'm working on the 'unread' icons. I'm about half way done with that. Then I have to start concentrating on moving the site to the new hosting service. That's more than likely going to take a few days to get everything ready and set up on the new server.

I'll look at your idea a little closer after the server move. :salute:

Re: Brick Background Unread post

Well, I gave the white brick a thin coat of paint and I do believe that it helped the text to stand out more.

What thinks ye?

I also got some new icons uploaded, but that won't have any bearing on the sub series styles. They're only for the pro series.

I think HkSubTan is just about right as it is now. Easy to read and with no strain on my poor old eyes . !*th_up*! !**yaaa

Really like it.

It gives the feel of both a railroad station as A of S said, and the old forum too! !*th_up*!

Re: Brick Background Unread post

I like the look and "feel" of the brick. It speaks of old railroad stations, shops and warehouses. My second thought was the same as the grindre, could the color be a faded boxcar red? But I realize the color has to be very light so the text is readable. I think the new paint job is nice - a bit closer to red brick than the original grey. Just my !#2bits#!

I really like the brick background with the probrown color scheme. It gives a warm, comfortable homey feel to the forum page. Me like it :!:

Bricks are cool. I've put down a few bricks mostly back in the days I was a mason and not a carpenter so yeah, I don't mind bricks. 8-) !**yaaa
