Hawk, are you asleep at the wheel, or have I entered the Twilight Zone
The time stamp on the forum seems to have gained 13 hours overnight![Question :?:](./images/smilies/icon_question.gif)

Well how 'bout that! Must be a server thing. I'll look into it, when I get a chance. ![Mr. Green ](./images/smilies/icon_mrgreen.gif)

Re: Helen Waite
For what ever it's worth, this time stamp deal is turning out to be a perplexing issue. It's not the forum software and it's not the server. We think it has something to do with the Apache software but we can't find the problem.
There was a minor glitch with Apache last night in regards to some htaccess files and we thought that might have something to do with it, but everything we've checked looks right.![dunno **!!!**](./images/smilies/smilie142.gif)
Edit 1: Well, it looks like it's fixed. Turns out it was a glitch somewhere between the atomic clock in DC and the server in Dallas, TX.

So what you're telling me is, it's them boys in Washington DC playing around with nukes that caused us all to go through a mysterious time warp? Hawk, did YOU go out and see that big remake of a famous sci-fi movie this weekend?

This brings to mind a point : Everything man has ever done has failed. The pyramids take the prize for the longest triumph of man made things- but alas, they too are slowly falling apart, and they are after all just piles of stone.
Mans hubris: We can make bombs that will wipe out mankind? GREAT! Lets build 30,000 of them- what could possibly go wrong? We figured out how to splice the DNA of a fish with a tomato so the pasty fruits will last longer on the shelf? GREAT! Lets plant billions of them and feed them to everyone- what could possibly go wrong?![dunno **!!!**](./images/smilies/smilie142.gif)

Forgive me if I'm a bit dense, but who is Helen Waite, and why is this thread named for her?
Re: Helen Waite
I believe the thread title is a wordplay "joke", i.e If you have a "Problem" go to Helen Waite....

Kind of like the "Complaint Departments" plaque with a hand grenade on it, with a big "1" on the pin. If you have a complaint just pull the pin and wait, someone will be right with you.... I think they give out those plaques with salvage yard licenses as every junkyard in the nation seems to have one behind the counter.

Guess I must just be behind the times and out of the loop. Makes sense now.
On a side note, I was well into adulthood before I learned about the "pull my finger" ploy.

As most of you know, I'm from Calif. That never happened to me until I came to the south then I, too, was well into manhood... like in my 30's... And, I still don't think it's funny.

Ahhh- construction pranks- now your talking. "Hey Newguy, grab me some toenails." Newguy says "Where they at boss?"--- "They're in the box next to the boardstretcher" --"you know-- the big 3 cylinder one on the bottom"..... ![roll_laugh ^**lylgh](./images/smilies/lachliegen.gif)
