Going from Lurker to participant Unread post

Howdy,
I'm Dave (if you couldn't have guessed). I'm not particularly proud of my username. Let's just say it made sense many years ago. Hawk, do you have the ability to change my username? Anyways, I've had an account on this forum for about a year, but have mostly been a lurker. I'd like to change that. I have both windows and mac computers at my disposition, but for whatever reason found the mac version of RTIII on sale, bought it, and became hooked. I've been debating buying the windows version so I can play the 1.o6 maps. (The mac version is equivalent to 1.04 with the CTC expansion pack) However, that's not why I'm posting. I've long admired the scenario Arizona Railroads by Gary Reams and have long thought I'd like to make a similar scenario for the states of Utah or Nevada. The one for Utah is almost finished. (I think it's done, but haven't had a chance to test my last round of scenario bug fixes) I know there's a separate topic thread for beta testers. However, in this case I don't know how to upload my test scenario to Hawk's excellent pages. Can someone give me some pointers on how to upload files? If you're interested, it is mostly follows the format of Gary Ream's style of maps, but does borrow some elements of my other favorites, Denver and Western by Phil Remmington and Florida East Coast Railroad by Edward Ford.

Hello lurker :salute:

The first thing you'll need to do is to put the map file into .zip or .rar format.

Then if you want to upload it to the forums for people to beta test, scroll down and click on the "Upload attachment" option. Browse for the zip/rar file you created with the map. Then hit Add the file. You'll also want to let people know what version the map is for.

If you wanted it added to Hawk's map download archive page, then the best way would probably be to send him a PM with the file attached.

It's really nice to see (or read) that there are still more RT3 fans (or even map creators !*th_up*! )!
