help with the ingame mapmaker

if any one knows or has a tutorial on how to use the ingame mapmaker for Rt3 plz tell me because im absolutely clueless

I'm just making a new map myself and it's not easy. First thing about the mapmaker is that it usually says that your map is "enormous" or some such, which I find a bit off-putting. I suggest you pick out your territory on the RT3 mapmaker, then notice where it's been saved. Then import that map into a photoshop program of some sort and play around with it there - re-sizing and so on.
Is there a specific problem or is the whole thing just too much? If it's the latter, I can only suggest experiment and see what happens! If it's a specific problem, let us know and we'll have a go at solving it.
