Scenario Writing Tutorial?

So I've been working on a new scenario, probably a small island like Cuba or Iceland, and I've come across a few tricks of the trade through experience. Would anyone be interested if I attempted to make a tutorial for creating historically correct maps(cities, rivers, regions, etc.) maybe with a few things that can be used for any map(lakes, textures, city placement, etc)?
