Railfanning park building concept

Unread post by Altoona+BeachCreek »

I'm playing Central California right now, and I built a pseudo-horseshoe Curve just outside Santa Maria to deal with the ridge between it and the North, and it gave me an idea: What if we could place railfan parks for our companies? I imagine it would work like this:

Demands: 1/1 Passengers, 1 Fertilizer to keep the park pretty, and 1 rock to keep that particular section of track well ballasted.
Production: None
Operating Concept: It could be a small building with a "viewing platform," most likely something like the clapboard small station, and it will have also have a radius like a station. Now, the more train tracks in this radius, the more money it will make per passenger. Therefore, it would do especially well at diamonds or curves like the one I made. It could also boost revenue of hotels within the radius.

This is a very rough sketch for now. Any feedback on plausibility and such is welcome.
