I've been using Trainmaster happily for a few years and I continue to find it appealing.
However, when I make a new map, using the heightmap option, the flood method for making new sea does not work properly.
The sea goes blue on the little overview map on the left of the screen, but not on the main map: nor does the sea go blue if I load such a map to start a game.
If I use the colouring-in method for making sea, it works fine, but that makes it a bit difficult to get a smooth sea - I keep ending up with sea-coloured cliffs by accident.
I'm running Windows 7 on a decent PC.
Can you offer a solution, please?
Cheers
Ralph

Re: Sea does not go blue
I noticed that too. not sure the cause. When making a new map from a heightmap, make sure you colour the ocean part pure red. 255-0-0 (RGB) then it will become a blue sea.

Thanks for that - it works nicely, and even colours in the sea without being told to. I think I was misled by the "grayscale maps" folder in the data section, so I've been converting all my graphics to greyscale.
