How do you convert maps?

Namely, from 1.06 to TM? And yes, I mean my "Not Meant to Be" map. The game crashed when I tried to open it in the TM editor.

Most maps can be converted with some work. Unless you started putting down AI players and rail-lines then you may have some difficulties.

There should be a post by Edbangor on this somewhere. Make sure you turn off all 1.06 industries and industries that are not in TM and remove any of those buildings if you manually placed them there. Also be sure any events with locomotives/industries that aren't in TM are removed. Most of the time it will crash because of an industry that got placed on the map and forgotten about.

Thank you! I'll get right to work. There are tracks though, because the map I'm editing has them already.

The TM editor is not working at all.
I did what you said on 1.06, saved it, copied the new file into TM, then tried to edit, crash.
Decided it wouldn't be a big deal to start over and looked for the One Korea map, remembered I don't have it on TM, tested editing CA06, crash, tested Alt USA, crash. I really don't feel like doing something complicated right now, so it will probably be a 1.06 map. Sorry.

Sounds like you don't have tm installed correctly, or you haven;t properly cleared the map of 1.06 things.

I'll post a copy of the One Korea map set up for tm later today. There are buildings on the map that have to be removed.

Thanks! I guess I do have TM installed wrong, because it still crashed during the "Building Databases" phase. I'll look into that.

No, it just says "Railroad Tycoon 3 has stopped working." That's what usually comes up. It's what it said before I disabled T&L.

You didn't install TM properly. TM has the T%L disabled by default. Try re-installing TM from scratch....
