After Hawk recommended Firefox I thought I would finally try it out. I found this site which has all versions from 1.0 up to 3.0. As he said that 3.0 is not yet completly stable I took the latest 2.0 (2.0.0.14).

Thanks Redband. Much appreciated. I think I'll sticky this thread.

Have you upgraded to FF 3 yet Rat? I just upgraded to 2.0.0.15 a few minutes ago. I'm still waiting for a few more comments from the peanut gallery before I take the plunge to 3.0

Re: All versions of Firefox available here.
Work only lets us use 2.0.0.6. Not sure what I got at home. It constantly upgrades, so it may be up there.
I tend to only upgrade when I have to. That's how I avoid things like the VM (Vista Mistake). Once something is found that works, no need to change unless, as you say, others can confirm the change is worth it.

Re: All versions of Firefox available here.
I believe you have to intentionally download and install V-3. I was running 2.0.0.14 and got a prompt to upgrade to 2.0.0.15 this morning. I never have got a prompt to upgrade to V-3.

Re: All versions of Firefox available here.
I've been using 3 for a few weeks, maybe less, and don't like it. I'm going back to 2. I also think it, too, may be an issue with my web site problems.
Thanks Red.

I haven't upgraded to V-3 yet. I'm still reading too much negativity about it.

I'm getting prompts to upgrade to V-3. What do you think? Best not to? Anybody think it's worth it?
Re: All versions of Firefox available here.
I know one person that did and she constantly complains about it crashing. I still haven't upgraded to it.

Re: All versions of Firefox available here.
I've gone back to v2 because of the crashes and a number of other things I don't like.
You can try it, Ruth but I don't think you'll like it either.

Thanks, guys. Next time it comes up I'll reply "Never"!

This appears to be one of those, 'If it ain't broke, don't fix it', type of situations.
I went into the TOOLS Options area and turned off auto updates and notifications.

I haven't turned that off in case any updates come for V-2. I just told the V-3 prompt to never ask again.

Re: All versions of Firefox available here.
Hi All,
I just loaded FF 3.5 this past weekend FF 3.5 and I noticed what appears to be a bug.
I selected both "accept cookies" and "remember my passwords" under tool/options, but FF will not remember my passwords....
It will remember the passwords during the same session, but if you shut FF down and then later start it up again (e.g. the next day), you'll have to sign in again.
Is anyone else experiencing this issue?

Re: All versions of Firefox available here.
I haven't updated to 3.5 yet because everything I've read says to hold off because it's still a bit buggy. I just recently updated to V-3.0.12.

Re: All versions of Firefox available here.
Go through your options again. There should be an option that asks you if you want FF to erase everything after closing. Un tic this option and all should work well.
Personally, I keep this option ticked. I like the idea of FF erasing everything after I close it down.

Thanks for the suggestion TG,
I looked at my settings, and the option "do you want FF to erase everything after closing" was already unchecked, so I guess it is a bug...

Hey, I've noticed that Red's link is updating FF as it so calls improves itself. Only v3 is now there.
