Altough some commentaries are pertinent, many folks miss the point.
I KNOW that stablishing a list is too personal and too bias. But forget the little buttons.
This is the way I will do it and I hope that many will follow, and maybe a new thread:
My favorite scenarios:
1) Age of Steam (I-V)
2) South East USA
3) Dry Lake
4) Orient Express (and it's upgrades)
5) 5 Lakes Tycooning
This way, after people answers, a consensus about it could be compiled.
What you think?

Since the forum you started this topic in is for polls, and this really isn't a poll per say, I created a new thread for it.

oh that's great!
Let's see what it will lead to.
(where is the thread?) forget it, I Shall find it or die.

Up at the top of the forum post you can see what part of the forum the thread is in:
Board index ‹ Railroad Tycoon III ‹ RRT3 Reviews
As for my favorite scenarios... I'm not sure I have played any that you listed other than Dry Lake. Maybe one of these days I'll get around to some more.

Re: Favorite Scenarios
This topic is to name your favorite maps.
I think some consensus could come out of it.

Re: Favorite Scenarios
There are a number of good games to choose from. I have not been able to play all the games in the map archive, so I can only speak about the ones I know. The problem with making a list is that I will later wish that I had added another one, but here's my list for today (in no particular order) of my top five:
1. The Age of Steam series
2. Chicago to New York
3. Roman Empire
4. One of the Germany games, can't recall which
5. An Arop map (on a rainy weekend)
Lama created some good games. I'd consider Michigan 1830, Transcontinental, Panama Canal, Roman Empire, Colonial India and Denver & Western as good examples to learn from on how to create a game.

Black: just post the ones that YOU like! the ones YOU enjoyed most -for whatever reasons- and found to be just right.
Oilcan: Roman Empire? where is that one?
The choice is YOURS!

Chicago to NY
NorthEast Corridor
Farewell to Steam
Express D'Orient
Mississippi Valley
Most of my favorites are heavy on industry. I know it looks odd that some of my favorite maps are my own designs. But as Isaac Asimov once said, If I didn't like the stuff I write I would write something else.

hey! nothing wrong with a little shoulder brushing
So far, there's already 3 scenarii with 2 votes each.
slowly but surely...

Re: Favorite Scenarios
From my point of view it makes no sense to dispute or even fight for "favorite scenario lists" in any way.
The first one prefers "blue", the second one is happy with "yellow" ... and obviousley there is also at least one who likes "black".
But, because you - anyway - want to be informed about my favorite maps, I'll enumerate from current feeling
- Hexum (by Taleisin)
- Scrimshaw (by Taleisin)
- Weidenthal County (by Lama)
- Moor Express (by Lama)
- Haller Willem (by MaddogLB)
... and as mentioned above by OilCan: ask me in a year and you'll get something else

No mention of Building to Buffalo?

I just discovered the Buffalo one, thanks for the tip!!
Shall look into it this very day, and if anything, I'll post back about it.

Very good thread. I'm still playing time to time "Gulf Oil Spill", wich I find it very hard for a gold without any cheat. But once I win it I'll try one of those

Re: Favorite Scenarios
Well, from my limited time on the forums, as well as my restriction to v1.05, here are my absolute favorites.
1. Yellowstone (by oilcan)
2. New Zealand South Island (by Tim) / New Zealand (by David)
3. Borogravia (by Lars)
Those are the ones that I find most fun to play, and Yellowstone in particular, I could play over and over and over again, it is a great v 1.05 map!

Re: Favorite Scenarios
Age of Steam V hands down. Every other scenario is a distant second.(Even the other Age of Steam ones.)
Re: Favorite Scenarios
Still playing my own Great China after hundreds of hours... Always new ways to do things.
AMD Phenom X6 1090T @3.9GHz, 16GB DDR3-1600 RAM, Asus Crosshair Formula IV mb, Radeon HD7870, Samsung 850EVO SSD, M-Audio AP192, Windows 10-64, Railroad Tycoon 3 1.06. & TM, Train Simulator 2016, MSTS + many add-ons, Trainz!
Re: Favorite Scenarios
Being busy building and testing/playing my own maps, I seldom have got time to play others. But there are many maps I would never play: Short term maps with a duration of less than 50 years, and too mountanious maps demanding unrealistic grades above 3-4%.
