Re: Silence in the malls

The news story I read said that they had liabilities in the range if $100 million to $500 million, how can you not know within $4oo million is there a cheque in the mail that someone forgot to count.

Re: Stock Market Anti-Santa Claus Effect?

When I am purchasing shares I utilise this factor, It happens every month to a lesser degree, but it is more noticeable at year end.For this reason when I am in a position to do it, I will buy shares at the start of each month, his works best when the economy is slow or in recession.I learned how eff...

Re: Now a real quiz I made up

I consider myself something of an expert in French Polynesia which is why I scored 80% on the quiz, either that or I'm just lucky. If I could only do this well on the lottery I would be a happy man. Now regarding the political quiz I was a center line libertarian 4 points to the left of center, but a...

Re: LA & L.A.

I really really must pay attention, Stoker sweats for weeks or months to make an outstanding scenario and there I was griping because I had not read the requirements for the win !hairpull! I had not put in my own station at New Orleans that would be far too easy. Well I tried once again and t...

Re: LA & L.A.

Now I'm puzzled, Grandma Ruth said that you didn't need to own all the track between L.A. and LA but I can send a train from New Orleans to L.A .and yet it tells me that I am not connected. Back to the drawing board only this time I will own the track, unfortunately in this current game I didn't buy...

Re: LA & L.A.

Putting in the people generating buildings not just in LA but the close by towns made the passenger count achievable and would you believe it I hadn't even noticed San Diego, I was so intent on going over the mountains that I didn't connect to it. I am getting strung up by a long recession so even t...

Re: LA & L.A.

I read the posts on this scenario and decided to give it a whirl, oh how humbling... I could not even get bronze on my first try, actually it was my second shot I must have had an old map the first time around and my loads to LA weren't being counted. I made the passenger and lumber counts easy enou...

Re: Playing Speed of RRT3

I play on pause or very fast. I don't have the reflexes to lay track whilst the play is continuing, so I pause and ponder and after due deliberation, I lay track, and then cuss myself for using up my money on track and buildings and not leaving enough for a train. I have done that so many times, I s...

Re: Weather Report

I wanted to see those 44 prophets and raise another 100. Poker reference....but I couldn't find the link I was looking for....until just now... http://www.whatreallyhappened.com/rapture.html The myriad examples listed in that article serve, in my mind, as vibrant proof of the accuracy of the Bible ...

Oh thank goodness for that, I forgot to multiply by the number of sachets so that means I only paid the equivalent of $64 a litre but even so thats pretty expensive spring water.

Re: Whatever Next?

For dietary reasons I take a liquid iron supplement and because I was going on a plane I purchased some packaged in little sachets, because I wasn't able to go on board with a 500 mill bottle. What I bought for $36 was 28 little sachets of spring water from Wales. Each sachet contains 20 mill of spa...

Re: Weather Report

Just to clarify something, as much as my pay stub has official logos on it, I am not directly involved in any disaster preparations or recovering efforts. My job is more along the lines of inhaling and exhaling on a regular basis. Once in a while I have to type something. So my theories and opinion...

It looks cleaner and the buttons make navigation simpler, an improvement over the current site, although I also tend to think of steam and the Victorian era when I think of railroading, so buttons with a little more character would be nice.
The site seems great on Firefox.

I am surprised again at the depth of the scenarios that are envisaged here. I remember playing New France and it was very enjoyable ' It sounds as though you are taking things to a whole new level if you are using that as a jump off point, and then introducing more variables into the game. I look fo...

OK I have read through these posts a couple of times and I think I now have the gist of it. Now I was in BC and Alaska last week and guess what, it...

Re: Weather Report

My point of view nowadays is to experience and enjoy every single hour of every day. It is worthwhile to try and do something about things you can affect, but a total waste of valuable time and energy to worry about the end of the world. If you worry about such things too much, you may find yourself...

Re: Age Of Steam V-Pheonix Rising For Your Review

I stayed up late so I could have just one more shot at it, and now I want to say...Thank you for a great time, I got gold after 32 years and I left those AI in the dust, now that was 10,000 loads of fun. Now I'm wondering, can I do it in less than 30 years, I'm sure I can. If I go for the iron first...
