Re: New Buildings

I have tried unsuccessfully to unpak the original files as WP&P advised "Anyways, if you look in RRT3/Data/3D you will see several PK4 files that must be unpacked. If you're going to do a lot of modding, you can do what I did, which is to unpack each of these into the "PopTopExtraConte...

Re: Help, it quit running

I have noticed that when you "uninstall" RRT3 and many other games that it does leave the shell directory with some folders like the User Extra Content and others intact, and to get a "fresh" install you need to manually delete these before you re-install. As Hawk suggested this ...

Re: LA & L.A.

This scenario is harder than most and pretty in depth strategy wise. I was unable to fit all I wanted in the briefing so a look at the first post in this thread is a good idea. !*th_up*!

I have seen that show also. I suspect that those locos went down lashed to the deck of a barge that has since disintegrated. They are so close together and in perfect alignment that the "pushed overboard" theory doesnt hold water.

Re: New Mexico Rail Runner

In have been to and through NM lots of times over the years. Not much to see in most reservations except government housing , cigarette stores and sometimes a Casino. Navajo land I am pretty familiar with, and you have some nice Redrocks scenery up there, plus you have Colorado to the North and the ...

Re: New Mexico Rail Runner

Ive never been to Carlsbad, but Las Cruces is ok. It is pretty much combined with El Paso these days though. The desert in that area is quite barren, unlike the Sonoran Desert here in AZ.

Re: New Mexico Rail Runner

I am familiar with all of the states listed there except Florida. If you go to NM, I recommend going west and North and checking out the Southwest Colorado area. Not a whole lot in ND, but in SD the Black Hills area is nice. The Badlands are also worth seeing there. Texas is an odd place but there i...

Re: LA & L.A.

The original version has a flaw in the ledger that keeps it from reporting the loads hauled to L.A.This has been fixed and the map download has the correct version. The new zip and map file names are the same as the first version, so if you had already downloaded the first version say "yes"...

Re: LA & L.A.

The fixed version is now on the map page here : http://hawkdawg.com/rrt/rrt3/map_arch/rt3_north-america3.htm Again, my apologies to anyone who downloaded the first version with the ledger flaw. The medal events will still work in the first (flawed ) version, but the ledger will not read out the corr...

Re: LA & L.A.

Typical Murphys' Law stuff. I had the Beta version here for a couple of weeks, with everything functioning fine, and I decided to add a little to the ledger at the last moment and somehow unchecked the territory test condition. !hairpull!

Re: New Mexico Rail Runner

I have been to NM many times. The trip from Albuquerque to Santa Fe is about 30 miles. Years ago, there was open space between them, these days they are pretty much congealed into one metro area.

Re: LA & L.A.

My apologies to all who have downloaded the "first" final version, there is a problem in the ledger page. If you are familiar with the editor, you can fix the ledger by adding the "Force test against Territories" condition, with "Los Angeles" selected as the territory, ...

Re: LA & L.A.

Your right, I will send the fixed version to Hawk today. I had modified the ledger page at the last moment , adding the "hard ledger" and somehow unchecked the territories force test. **!!!** Thank you for catching that for me Ruth!

Re: LA & L.A.

The fourth condition on the page your showing says "Force test against Territories" and Los Angeles is listed as such. This is correct. The part about the campaign aspect is yes, this was based on a campaign map . For whatever reason it still thinks it is a campaign when you are in Editor ...

Re: Stokers' Corner

I have put my "To Build a Nation" scenario project on the back burner for a while and am currently making a redux of the "East Coast" map that uses all of the 1.06 cargoes with straightforward railroading and tycooning goals. I am adding more cities to this relatively small map a...

LA & L.A.

LA & L.A. is a large scenario based on the Poptop Southern Pacific map and it utilizes all of the 1.06 cargoes for the time period from 1870-1900. It requires using most of the different skills of RRT3 in order to win a Medal. Here's a few tips for playing LA & L.A. : 1. You can let the AI's...
