Re: Monkey Business (CA09) Campaign Scenario
Here's my set up after 15 years. All the industries are upgraded except the oil refinery which I just built. I have no bonds. The chemical plant spawned where it is. Otherwise, I am creating industrial zones where it fits. The publishing house and electronics factories are doing well in the towns, ...

Re: Monkey Business (CA09) Campaign Scenario
The event to give access to Enterprise Island (1000 PAX) is set to trigger on laying track or station, but should probably be monthly or weekly. I'll work through your points with some suggestions but, although that above is an error it's not a biggy, as.... well you'll figure it out. ;-) Also, I c...

Re: Trainmaster....what comes next.
Perhaps we should open a thread discussing this map, for this might attract other guys´n´girls to play Trainmaster. There already is one. ;-) http://hawkdawg.com/forums/viewtopic.php?f=72&t=2190 That's in the Creation forum though. However, there is one in the stratagy thread, started by someon...

Re: Trainmaster....what comes next.
I'm finding that the use of industrial zones is working out best for me. For example, in the middle of the triangle for Chimp City, Vineton, and Monketown, I have placed a papermill and a meat packing plant. Then I am running trains A-B-C-B to supply them. B is the industrial zone. I've got a flour...

Re: Monkey Motors
The technical and game play side of the map is now finished.
Now just the painting to be done and then it will be sent to Ned to become part of the TM campaign.

Re: Monkey Motors
Yes, indeed, Ned, that should be another way around the problem. At least I assume it is as I've not tired it. I did a test run of the scenario last night and it would seem to work although I need to do a bit of balancing still on the industries and place a few others to keep things going as I was o...

Re: Monkey Motors
Guys, what I meant was, in order to check to see if the effect was caused by Beta2 - which I was working in - I did a fresh install of TM right from the start - well Pre-beta which was the oldest version I downloaded - testing as each version was installed, to see if the problem still happened (it d...

Re: Monkey Motors
Okay I've tried a few experiments - including reinstalling TM pre-beta, testing and then patching back up to Beta2. It seems that any industry placed in the editor on the map, automatically gets turned on in the INdustry (overall) list the moment you save the map. Deleting all the editor placed buil...

Monkey Motors
I'm currently finishing up on a new scenario but am having a highly anoying time with the editor as it won't let me turn off some of the industries and keeps resetting them to 'on'. Due to the nature of the scenario I'm building I only need 46 of the 98 industries to be active - several of these NEE...

Re: RT3 Events Commands
To learn the events codes, just do what I do, have two versions of RT3 (or one TM in my case) running at once, and both open on screen. One with the scenario you're writing in it, open in the editor, and with the editor ready to open any/all scenarios with an event similar to the one you want. Then ...

Welcome back.
Have you heard about the new version "trainmaster", as it's a step up from 1.06!
but then if you do game modeling then I'm sure Ned will be in touch before too long...

Re: The Hub #2 - Military
Oh bother. Finally had a play but like others it crashes about September. I had just been informed I'd been awarded the network and would get a bonus - no bonus appeared . If one should maybe that's causing the crash? Or maybe it would arrive later? Over to another scenario   Darn! Okay, ...

Re: effect of 1.06 changes
Second issue. Could not add hotel, restaurant, tavern or post office to the area of my stations. Not available on the list. Did the 1.06 changes affect this? Do I need to go back to the 1.05 version to play the campaign maps? I see from discussion where some of you keep more than one installation i...

The map is now painted and therefore FINISHED!
I just want to do one more test play to make sure nothing got messed up and then I'll make it available to Ned, for packaging.

Re: Typical RT3 Game
I advocate always starting a RT3 game by building an industry base - regardless of the game goals. Then add rail to a 3 city network. Then invest in industry again. Then expand rail, and so on. This alternating approach is the best mix. Can't argue with that, as that's how I always start a game - e...

Ned
The map I mentioned before, may have to be moved to a later period for ...erm... 'technical reasons' but not sure just when it will be set as logically if a campaign it should be set after Monkey Business for reasons that will be clear when you see it.
