Re: Hi to all.

To upload a file you need the Full Editor. There is a button next to "Submit" for that. Then below the text box there is a tab for "attachments." Please note with Train World that the demo is very easy to make money. The demo doesn't have difficulty level selection. I will keep i...

Re: Hi to all.

Interesting, so you are trying to negate the "bonuses." What about using dozing to adjust your cash balance for those connections you want and just letting the others expire? I don't quite understand your process or it's intention. Which character did you use? Barti Shiloh with +30% tracks...

Re: North America Map with Canadian Cities

There isn't really a good map spanning the whole of Canada. I'm wondering if you were remembering the RTII one? I mentioned that some maps have a decent amount of USA and Canada on them, just not from one coast to the other. Eastern half: Rainy Days in British North America United Indian Federation ...

Re: North America Map with Canadian Cities

"Coast to Coast expansion pack" was released by PopTop along with Patch 1.04. This included some new maps, including the namesake: "Coast to Coast." This map has a narrow strip of southern Canada, including the cities you mentioned. Any digital copy of the game should be up to da...

Re: RRT2 Train wrecks

Sadly, I don't think it's possible. If you want breakdowns you need to manage servicing. What you can do is place a lot of small stations (depots) all along your routes. In RTII, a train only has to pass the station to be "serviced." Watch especially for heavy grades where the engines are ...

Re: CTD in Coast to Coast scenario - Windows-related?

That's unfortunate. For whatever it's worth, the game is running fine for me with these patches installed. I played through Coast to Coast a couple times without issue. Probably the most interesting was, southern path $40M industry profit without bonds. Took just over 12 years. This map is really ov...

Re: Howdy

Welcome. !!howdy!! Interested to see what you come up with. If the maps are based on existing ones, it wouldn't be so hard for someone to transfer in the events later if they desire. A lot of the existing maps suffer from poor terrain, especially the river courses. The Poptop ones, especially in Coa...

Re: North America Map with Canadian Cities

How far south in the USA did it go? From memory, I remember partial maps with a good portion of both Canada and USA, but they don't cover the whole expanse for example they don't go as far west as Alberta, or they don't go too far south in the USA.

Re: Southern Pacific

Really? For this play I used a "clean" GoG version. Not even using dgVoodoo or widescreen patch. Did you meddle with your company at all first? That includes selling your stock. The reason I think it works is because the AI companies have a "loss" on their books, and you don't pl...

Re: Southern Pacific

Bit late to the party, but I tried this one too. If we look in the OP we see that you can cold-turkey merge all these companies, even if we short-sell their stock first. That's good for PPP too, so there is no need for any "robber baron" shenanigans. With the correct sequence we can end up...

Re: Hi to all.

I got your message. There is no editor at all in Railway Empire 2. At the moment the Restaurant and Market Hall are giving 10x the revenue they should. Plus the whole thing is sandbox, you can just doze stuff and redo. I played it for 140 hours or so, but now my enthusiasm cooled off a bit. What do ...

Re: Weird things RT3 does.

Hmm, did you ever try to lay track to continue from there? It could be a combination of bridge and blocked by building caused the game to lose it's marbles. In my experience, building bridges from the high bank to the low bank is temperamental at the best of times. Is that piece locked from editing?...

Re: Writing Events to Count Trains?

So, if you have a check on the second (reset) event, such that you can only trigger the reset if your company cash is exactly 0 , that should provide a strong disincentive for cheating. It would still be theoretically possible to unload a train that was carrying an exact multiple of a loco price, b...

Re: Writing Events to Count Trains?

Sounds like a decent plan, for situations with limited track laying, no issuing stock, and no stock market. You didn't mention revenue that's coming in. Suppose we have a train arrive during the week. Revenue for a train can easily be >$100k. I mentioned above that setting industry profits and train...

This play was started by using RoR's trick ... :D Happy to hear you are using it. Just imagine how many hours people have played the game, and very few experienced the best replayability that the game can actually offer. . . . I see you two are having fun with this one. While reading your posts, I ...

Re: Hello!

You can also just copy the entire game folder out of the steam folder and then paste in the no CD patch. Although it's better to buy from GoG: then you will have a DRM free exe completely above board. Although, GoG did do something to exe which makes using dgVoodoo just slightly more complicated, wo...

Re: Multiple Gold events: how to get them.

As you found out, there is no problem with multiple events using the award Gold medal effect. :D It's fine to have medals in choice events too, as in do you want a bronze/silver/gold medal, or do you want to keep playing, for example. In regards to Robber Baron stuff. When adapting one of Oilcan's m...

Re: Great Train Race 2023

I like that you can watch the engines in action from the passenger cars while running alongside. To me that really is the genius of the idea, not the fact it's a "race." :-)
