Rail whales: 8-axle tank cars. Unread post

Just found out about these today. They have been used in Russia and Australia, as well as in the US, but I'd never heard of them before. They're quite impressive beasties.

These are not hard to model, no worse than ordinary tank cars, and are good fun, so I think we should have some. I have to do some modifications to the existing tank car pack anyway, to fix some minor bugs, and 8-axle units would fit well in the 1975-1999 era. They didn't exist before the late 1960's and are going out of use now, so 1975-1999 is a good fit for both RT3 model size and historical accuracy. !*th_up*!
