Airplane Crash on RT3?

During a game I was surprised to see an airplane flying straight towards a mountain. I've posted a couple of screen shots of the airplane about to hit the mountainside. Any guess what happened next?

The plane is circled in red, approaching the mountainside

Wow! Never seen that before. Cue the massive fireball explosion! That would be cool, but I would expect to simply see it disappear into the mountainside. Maybe it came out the other side as well?

Seen this before though not in awhile. IIRC the plane will just float up over the mountain before floating down to the correct altitude on the other side.

Yeah, the plane starts rising until it clears the mountain top - then it gently descends down the other side. -- But for a while it looks like it is going to fly straight into the mountain side.

Well,this mountain is not steep enough.If this happened in Crossing the Alps, you will see the piane goes straight up,just like a helicopter

Let's see it take on K2 or Mt Everest ... Straight up and then straight down into a fire ball.

Hey here's an idea. Given how close it is flying to the mountain top I bet if you stuck a tall building up there it would fly straight through it. Something to play around with when you're bored and feeling silly.

Never really pay that much attention to the airplanes, as it is a Railroading program. However, on looking at the 2nd image, I do see the wing on the right side, appearing to be striking the ground. An interesting aspect.

Being that the situation would be a catastrophe, it would have to be triggered, so that a notice would not only inform a player of the situation, but a trigger to show an image of the crash. THEN, some type of goal or requirement could be added, to some type of rescue. Interesting.
