Forum not acknowledging posts until after they are posted.

Well, I've been having a problem with posting lately. I seem to having a lot of incidents when a post goes through, but the system says it doesn't until the editor is reloaded.

It goes something like this.

1. Type reply to thread.
2. Hit reply button and wait a bit.
3. System says that you should review your post in light of what you just posted.

Maybe I'm causing the system to bite back at me. Excuse me for a moment while I do some testing.

EH? Your post turned up in the other thread. Are you sure the web isn't just a bit slow down your way at the moment?

Offhand I'm not sure what else would be causing it. Nothing has changed in the forum software recently, or with the server AFAIK. I suppose I should dig around in error logs and see if anything is obvious.

Edit: Mine just went funny on the quick reply, but seems to come through fine if I use the full reply page. Haven't had it happen before. You must have jinxed it.

(Now I'm wondering if the host has just switched PHP versions. 7.2 is EOL at the end of November, and I'm not sure what we were running.)

Try using the full reply instead of the quick reply for the moment. I'll do some digging tonight.
