I'm trying to search for "Company ID" in the forums - so I don't have to ask stupid questions! But it "ignores" ID because it has less than 3 characters, even with "..." around it. When it says "search for term as entered" or whatever, shouldn't that over-ride it's normal constraints? In other words, like most search engines when you put "..."
Anyway, I'll ask my question in the RT3 forum as it applies to all versions, I think.

Re: Search "ignores" terms <3 characters
I would expect it to ignore anything less than 3 characters.

Re: Search "ignores" terms <3 characters
My answer may not have been clear, so...
Putting "..." around a term in most search engines just ensures that it will only return results that include everything between the two double quotation marks, instead of returning results that only include some (not all) of the words in the search term. The double quotation marks themselves are not part of the search term, and adding them around a two character search term does not change it into a four character search term.
