Hi Unread post

Hello all,

First - thanks to Hawk for sorting out my registration, er, difficulties :D

I'm a late starter with RRT3 but already hooked. This site seems to be a really great resource for sage advice and excellent downloads which I've already plundered; excellent work to all.

Alhough I'm new to RRT3, I'm an old hand at skinning and pixel art, and I've aleady tried my hand at some loco skinning.

Re: Hi Unread post

Welcome Aboard! :-D There's pretty much everything Railroad Tycoon here at this site, and plenty of people to help out with your venture into skinning for RRT3.

Can't wait to see what's in store !*th_up*!

Re: Hi Unread post

Thanks guys - the advice and dowloads here are excellent :)

I have my first two reskins ready to add to the downloads section, if that's possible. Both are attempts to capture the look of late 19th / early 20th century Great Western Railway locos:

Yep! It's quite possible. Just zip them up and email them to me. You might even be able to attach them to a PM here, but email would be preferred.

Thanks Hawk - I'm putting the finishing touches to them, and then I'll e-mail them to you.

I notice that this guy made a few rather nice sins. Did he ever send them to you?

He was only active on the forums for about a month, and that was 4 years ago.

Yeah, yeah, but it's so disapointing...

Re: Hi Unread post

As soon as I figure out this low-res gfx bug* I was going to get into skinning. Had thought of nicking some of this bloke's ideas if I couldn't get the original skins off him. They do look rather nice.

*Will probably take a week or so. Have to delve into Windows-specific Mordor stuff (ugh) in spare time. Give me HTML5 any day.
